I am a visual artist specializing in ceramic pottery and sculpture, deeply drawn to the tactile nature of clay. My work features sgraffito designs and wildlife-inspired forms, capturing the essence of Vancouver Island’s rich fauna.
In addition to sculptural pieces, I create functional pottery with etched sgraffito designs on bowls, plates, and other vessels, and enjoy exploring the unique effects of raku firing. Whether handbuilding with coil or slab techniques or throwing on the wheel, I continually experiment to bring my ceramic visions to life.
I hold a Diploma in Visual Arts from Vancouver Island University, and my farm life with cats, dogs, and a ball python provides endless inspiration. Each piece reflects my love for wildlife, nature, and the rhythms of daily farm life, translating them into artful, handcrafted ceramics.
