Nanaimo Christmas Village Returns—Where Connection Meets Christmas Magic

A beloved local tradition brings together food, artisan goods, and festive spirit

Nanaimo, BC – This holiday season, Nanaimo Christmas Village returns to Cavallotti Lodge (2060 E Wellington Rd, Nanaimo) from November 28–30, 2025, inviting the community to come together and celebrate the warmth of the season in one of the city’s most cherished holiday traditions.

The event brings together close to 30 local artisan vendors, traditional German comfort food, and festive cheer—all under one roof. The focus for 2025 is clear: community connection.

“At its heart, Nanaimo Christmas Village is about people,” says Ben Lange, one of the event organizer. “It’s about the joy of running into neighbours, supporting local creators, and spending meaningful time with the people we care about. This isn’t just a market—it’s a community gathering.”

Guests can explore handcrafted goods, seasonal treats, and one-of-a-kind gifts made by local artisans, all while enjoying classic German fare like bratwurst, potato salad, sauerkraut, and fresh-baked pretzels. The event offers a cozy, indoor setting perfect for families, couples, and groups of friends to soak in the holiday spirit together.

As always, Nanaimo Christmas Village continues its tradition of giving back. The event proudly serves as an official drop-off location for The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive. Entry is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or make an optional cash donation to help ensure every child in Nanaimo has something to open on Christmas morning.
