Nga runs Cygnus Holding out of Langford, where every piece is embroidered or painted by hand. Jewellery boxes, bookmarks, pocket mirrors and keychains, a full range of hair ties, headbands and clips, and hand-painted bags.
She is bringing a Christmas collection made for this market. Santa Claus, Christmas trees and snowmen, alongside floral designs drawn from Canada’s native flowers.
Hand embroidery is slow work, so the designs are her own and nothing is mass produced. If something catches your eye on the Friday, it is worth picking it up then rather than waiting for Saturday.
